Abstract
A pattern for influencing a ball?s trajectory, which is formed on a base surface and protrudes from it by more than 0.2 mm. Said surface has an increased adhesion to the ball and the pattern consists of several similar but separated oblong structures, where the base surface contains at least one flower (F1, F2, F3) shape consisting of at least four petals (11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16), which form the aforementioned oblong structures. Each petal has a longitudinal axis and the inner ends of the petals form the edges of an internal uncovered bounding surface (Ci) defining the inside of the flower shape, wherein the longitudinal axes of the petals extend radially outward. The petals are arranged at least approximately uniformly along the inner boundary surface (Ci), furthermore, the internal area of a polygon (Co) connecting the outer ends of the petals of at least one flower shape is less than or equal to 40% of the combined area of the petals forming the given flower shape, and the length (I) of each petal measured along the longitudinal axis is at least 15 mm. The ball with a diameter of 22.5 cm falling into the area of said polygon (Co) surrounding the flowers in the pattern always contacts at least two adjacent petals before it reaches the base surface through its elastic compression.
