Abstract

Apparatus for separating hydrodynamically focused particles in a fluid flow (2, 3), the apparatus comprising: a walled channel (30) for conveying hydrodynamically focused particles in the fluid flow (2, 3), the channel (30) having an inlet and an outlet, and the channel (30) being provided with a gas inlet (31), an inert gas source communicating with the gas inlet (31), characterised in that the apparatus further comprises: an inert gas inlet control device inserted between the inert gas source and the gas inlet (31).
