Abstract
The invention is an emotional state detection device, which has a sound analyzer that extracts intonation information from a speech sample and a reporting unit that forms an emotional state characteristic based on the intonation information. The invention is also a lie detection device, which has a sound analyzer that extracts multidimensional intonation information quantitatively from a speech sample, and a reliability reporting unit that forms a characteristic of the reliability / lie of the speech sample provider based on the multidimensional, quantitative intonation information. The invention is also a method for lie detection using a multidimensional method, in which a speech sample generated by a person is taken, the characteristics of the intonation of the speech sample are quantitatively analyzed, and a characteristic of the reliability / lie of the speech sample provider is formed based on this intonation information.The invention further provides a method for detecting an emotional state, during which a multidimensional characteristic of the emotional states of the person being examined is determined in a manner that in a first period, emotional state-dependent parameter values are recorded in the person being examined in an emotionally neutral state, based on which the value ranges characteristic of the person in a neutral state are determined, in a second, state-determining period, the parameters of the same emotional state of the person are examined, and the parameter values thus obtained are evaluated in the above value ranges.
