Description

The description is 8 pages long (including 3 pages of illustrations) HU 222 379 Bl The invention relates to a locking device, which is mainly intended for securing movable frame structures of window and door structures, such as door and window frames. The invention also relates to a locking system equipped with such a locking device. As is known, lock mechanisms generally have a base structure that is mounted on the front face of the frame structure and is provided with an opening that receives the locking element of the lock assembly of the locking mechanism. This fitting may be, for example, a riveted bar lock, a mortise lock, a latch, a central bar lock or the like. The locking element may accordingly be of very different types depending on the design of the fitting, such as a self-locking latch, a flap slide, a locking roller, a push rod end, etc., and as a result, there is currently a need for an equally wide variety of different types of locking devices. The centerline of the locking element - that is, the axis passing through the center of the locking element and parallel to the vertical plane passing through the center of the vertical frame member of the frame structure on which the lock is mounted - can be located at different distances from the outer surface of the vertical or transverse frame member of the frame structure. Consequently, it is necessary to design different types of locking devices with different external dimensions so that in each case the opening of the base member can be arranged exactly in the centerline of the locking device. Furthermore, there are different types of locking mechanisms depending on how they are mounted on the door frame structure, for example by engraving or by fixing in the groove of the door frame element. It can therefore be seen that variations in these three parameters, namely the shape and centerline of the locking element, the distance between the outer surface plane of the frame structure of the window and door, and the method of fastening the locking mechanism to the frame structure, directly influence and multiply the number of different locking mechanisms to be produced and stocked in order to meet changing customer needs. A locking device is already known from the patent description DE-1901834, which can be fixed with a clip or screw in a holding box, which in turn can be installed in a prefabricated wall structure before production. Accordingly, the groove formed in the basic shape of the locking device can only be oriented in the prescribed place, which inherently excludes any possibility of adjusting the groove during adjustment. The above locking device therefore has a basic shape and an insert that is provided with an internal opening for receiving a locking element, preferably a handle or a locking tongue, that secures the door part of the window structure. The basic shape has an opening for receiving the insert, and the insert has two side walls, which delimit the internal opening and are parallel to the outer surface of the frame structure. The side walls are designed to align with the edges of the opening of the basic shape and are provided with at least one fixing lug.The side walls and the at least one fastening tab are designed to fit the edges of the opening of the base member, but to be able to be passed through between the edges of the opening in a resiliently deformed state. The side walls of the insert are provided with a rim substantially delimiting the inner opening and covering the base member along the edges of the opening. The present invention aims to eliminate the above shortcomings, i.e. to create an improved solution that allows a significant reduction in the number of different types of locking mechanisms used, thereby making production and storage more economical. The object of the present invention is achieved by a locking device for window and door structures, especially for the frame structure of windows and doors. The locking device has a base form that can be attached to the frame structure and an insert that is provided with an internal opening for receiving a locking element, preferably a latch or a locking tongue, that secures the door part of the window and door structure. The base form has an opening for receiving the insert, and the insert has two side walls, which delimit the internal opening and are parallel to the outer surface of the frame element of the frame structure equipped with the locking device. The side walls are designed to align with the edges of the opening of the base form and are provided with at least one fastening tab. The side walls and the at least one fastening tab are designed to fit the edges of the opening of the base form, but can be passed through between the edges of the opening in an elastically deformed state. The side walls of the insert are provided with a rim substantially delimiting the inner opening and covering the base member along the edges of the opening. The essence of the solution according to the invention is that the side walls of the insert have predetermined wall thicknesses in at least one section adjacent to the edges by which the center line of the inner opening is offset relative to the center line of the insert - and the center line of the locking element, preferably a latch or a lock tongue, lying opposite thereto. This two-part locking mechanism allows us to limit the number of different pieces to be manufactured: the basic form attached to the frame is designed to fit well with the locking mechanism unit that works together. If the method of attachment of the locking mechanism is given, the basic form of the locking mechanism can always be the same, and only the insert is modified depending on the location and shape of the locking element. This is also true in reverse: if the locking element is given, only the basic form is modified, depending on the method of attachment to the frame, the insert remains unchanged. The invention therefore significantly reduces the number of structural units to be manufactured and stocked, considering the large number of possible combinations and variations between the same basic form and the same insert for fitting different types of locking mechanisms. This surprisingly simplifies production and stocking. Another important advantage is that the locking mechanism is attached to the base frame, and therefore only the latter needs to be made of a material that is strong enough to rigidly attach the locking mechanism to the frame structure, while the insert can be made of a material with lower strength. The insert can be fixed in this way, for example by a simple snap-in locking into the opening of the base profile2 HU 222 379 Β1, and this does not require additional fastening devices other than the fastening tabs formed on the side walls of the insert. The rim is preferably of interrupted design along the line of the fastening lugs. This improves the elastic deformability. A preferred embodiment is one in which the base member has a ridge whose upper surface engages with the fastening lugs when the insert is inserted into the opening, namely in those sections of the edges of the opening which are located between the rim and the fastening lugs. As mentioned above, by modifying the thickness of one or other of the side walls of the insert, it is relatively easy to change the position of the axis of the opening so that this opening is positioned exactly in line with the locking element of the lock mounted on the frame structure. The locking system according to the invention is provided with the above locking device, at least one base member and an insert. Its essence is that it is provided with several inserts, each of which is designed to be installed in the opening of the base member and is provided with an opening for receiving a locking element, preferably a latch or a locking tongue. Furthermore, each insert has side walls of a predetermined thickness. The center line of the insert opening is arranged offset by a predetermined distance relative to the center line of the insert, which distance is different and / or offset relative to the other inserts. Preferably, the locking system is provided as an assembly with a series of base sections, each of which has an opening for receiving a cylinder, and whose outer contour is designed to be fixed in a nest, groove or notch formed in the front face of the frame structure. Preferably, each base member is provided with a series of inserts as fittings that can be inserted into its opening, each of which has an opening for receiving a locking element, preferably a latch or a locking tongue. If the base form is chosen depending on the method of mounting the locking mechanism on the frame, it is sufficient to fix the insert in the opening of the base form, which is also suitable for receiving the locking element. Below, the solution according to the invention is described in more detail based on the attached drawing, which shows an exemplary embodiment of the locking device according to the invention. In the drawing, - Figure 1 is a front view of the basic form of the locking device according to the invention; - Figure 2 is a section taken along line Π-II in Figure 1; - Figure 3 is a section taken along line III—III in Figure 1; - Figure 4 is a view illustrating a detail of the locking mechanism mounted on the front face of the frame structure; - Figure 5 is a front view of the insert of the locking mechanism according to the invention; - Figure 6 is a section taken along line VI-VI in Figure 5; - Figure 7 is a section taken along line VII-VII in Figure 5; - Figure 8 shows a cross-section of the locking mechanism according to the invention built into the frame structure; - Figure 9 is a cross-section taken along line IX-IX in Figure 5; - Figure 10 is a side view of the insert shown in Figure 5; and finally, - Figure 11 is a cross-section of the insert variant according to Figure 6. First, referring to Figure 4, we point out that the locking devices of the locking mechanisms of doors, windows, balcony doors or the like can be very different from each other, such as flap sliders, self-locking pins, rollers, or the ends of bar locks arranged in the frame. The front face 1 of the door and window frame according to Figure 4 is provided with a lock housing 2, which is arranged in the slot 3 of the frame and which in this case includes a self-locking latch 4 and a lock tongue 5. Depending on the dimensions of the locking elements, the distance Δ from the centerline e from the outer surface 6 of the number frame can be varied, and consequently the position of the openings of the locking mechanisms can be adjusted so that it is located opposite the locking element working with it. As shown in Figure 1, the locking device according to the invention comprises a base member 10 which can be mounted on the corresponding structural part, for example a frame. For this purpose, the base member 10 is provided in the example with four through-holes 11 through which fastening screws (not shown) can be passed. The cross-sectional view of Figure 2 shows that the base member 10 is substantially U-shaped in cross-section, the ridge 12 of which is parallel to the front face of the frame on which the locking mechanism is mounted. Figure 8 shows that the legs 13 of the base member 10 are designed so that they can be inserted into a socket 14 of a frame structure 15. The base member 10 has an opening 16, which is shown in front view and in section in Figures 1 and 3, respectively. This opening 16 forms a socket for the insert 20 shown in Figure 5. In Figure 5, the insert 20 is provided with an opening 21, which is suitable for receiving a locking element. In the present case, the opening 21 receives the end of the locking rod. However, it is easy to see that the shape of the opening 21 could also be changed so that a locking roller, a flap slide or a self-locking latch can be inserted therein. The 21 openings are suitable for both left and right-handed use, regardless of whether the door or window sash opens to the right or left. In the case of a multi-pane window structure, the insert 20 may contain as many openings 21 as the number of sashes of the window. For example, in the case of a double-pane window, the locking of a semi-fixed sash and a movable sash can be solved simultaneously. As shown in various views of Figures 6, 7, 9 and 10, the insert 20 has side walls 22 which are The opening 21 is located between the two sides. The outer surfaces of the side walls 22 are connected to the edges 17 of the opening 16 of the base member 10, and they are each provided with at least one fastening tab 23. The side walls 22 and the fastening tabs 23 are designed to be passed through the edges 17 of the opening 16 of the base member 10 by elastic deformation, and then the fastening tabs 23 are elastically opened after passing through the edges 17 of the opening 16. As illustrated in Figure 8, when the insert 20 is inserted into the opening 16 of the base member 10, four retaining members 23 along the circumference of the opening 16 of the insert 20 in the present example come into locking engagement with the edge of the inner surface 10A of the base member 10. Furthermore, the side walls 22 of the insert 20 are provided with a rim 24 which substantially surrounds the opening of the insert 20 and is designed to hold the base member 10 in a plane along the circumference of the opening 16, in which the ridge of the base member 10 is located between the rim 24 and the fastening tabs 23. The rim 24, in addition to securing the insert 20, covers the edges 17 of the opening 16 of the base member 10 and forms a seal between the edges 17 and the side walls of the insert 20. Preferably, the edge 24 is interrupted in the line of the fastening tabs 23. This allows the side walls 22 of the insert 20 to be more easily compressed during the insertion of the insert 20 into the opening 16 of the base member 10, and in this way facilitates the passage of the fastening tabs 23 through the opening 16 and their snapping behind the edges 17. The openings 21 of the insert 20 are defined by two side walls 22, which are designed to be parallel to the outer surface 19 of the vertical or transverse frame member 15 of the frame structure. The thicknesses of the side walls 22 are different at the edges 17 of the opening 16 of the base member 10 over a section 25 (see Figures 6 and 7). The centerline 26 of the inner opening 21 of the insert 20 is thus offset from the centerline 27 of the insert 20, which is measured at a distance of half the distance from the outer surfaces of the side walls 22 over a section 25 (Figure 6). The centerline 27 of the insert 20 always coincides with the centerline 18 of the opening 16 of the base member 10, but the centerline 26 of the inner opening 21 of the insert 20 may be offset towards one or the other side of the centerline 18 of the opening 16 (Figure 6). In Figure 6, the center line 26 is offset towards the right side of the figure relative to the center line 27, while in another embodiment illustrated in Figure 11, the center line 26 of the inner opening 21 is offset towards the left side of the figure. By simply modifying the thickness of the section 25 of the side walls 22, different inserts 20 are obtained, and from them we can select the one in which the center line 26 of the opening 21 can be adjusted to the desired position relative to the center line of the locking element Δ formed by the latch tongue 4 or the locking tongue 5. The side walls 22 are preferably connected to the bottom part 28 at the opening end 21 in such a way that the cross-section of the insert 20 is U-shaped. Optionally, the insert 20 can also be formed in a single piece. In order to use the material more economically, only the section 25 of the side walls 22 is thicker, more or less, to modify the position of the axis line 26 of the opening 21, so that the thickness of the remaining part of the side walls 22 and the bottom part 28 can be thinner. Each of the base sections 10 may therefore comprise a plurality of inserts 20 as additional fittings. Each insert 20 is designed to be inserted into the opening 16 of the base section 10. Furthermore, each insert 20 may have an opening 21 into which a latch, a flap slide, a roller, a pull rod end or the like, for example the latch 4 or the locking tongue 5, can be inserted. The side walls 22 of the inserts 20 are generally of different thicknesses at their sections 25 located at the edges 17 of the opening 16 of the base 10, as already referred to above. Of course, among the inserts 20 that can be used with a given base 10, there may also be an insert 20 whose side walls 22 are of the same thickness at the section 25 as at the other parts. This is also true in reverse, namely the insert 20 may include several additional elements, for example base sections 10 whose openings 16 are designed to receive the insert 20. The outer contour of the base sections 10 is designed to allow them to be installed in the opening, groove or recess 14 of the frame structure 15. Thanks to the present invention, the number of variations of different types of locking mechanisms can be reduced. Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiments described above, and numerous modifications can be made to them without departing from the scope of protection defined below. Thus, the locking device according to the invention can be mounted on both the vertical and transverse frame elements of the frame structure. Furthermore, a variant is also possible in which several openings 16 are provided, each of which can accommodate an insert 20.
