PAPER MATERIAL FOR MAKING FACIAL MASKS FROM GINGER CELLULOSE (Zingiber officinale) AND MAKING METHOD

Abstract

This invention relates to a paper material for making facial masks from ginger cellulose and its manufacturing method. This invention is based on environmental problems caused by mask waste so that alternative raw materials are needed that can be used in the process of making environmentally friendly mask paper. While the method of making mask paper material according to this invention has stages, namely cutting ginger, chopping ginger, drying the chopped ginger, refluxing ginger in water, carrying out an alkalization process, and making ginger mask paper. Based on the results of the tests carried out, the resulting mask paper has characteristics of brownish color, has a tensile strength of 8.91 - 13.23 MPa, a hyaluronic acid serum absorption index of 152.78 - 224.44%, and a biodegradation rate of 43.64 - 100% in 2 weeks.
