Abstract

This invention relates to the field of feed additives for ruminant livestock, specifically in the form of effervescent powder fortified with Caulerpa sp. seaweed formulated to improve the quality of goat milk and testing goat milk processing to reduce the prevalence of stunting. This invention is able to reduce methane gas production, increase digestibility, improve the nutritional quality of goat milk products which are characterized by powder form, smooth contour, pure white color with evenly integrated green dots, easy to consume by goats by sprinkling on concentrate feed. The formula of this invention is the main mixture consisting of: citric acid (4%), tartaric acid (3%), sodium carbonate (20%), lactose (40%), polyvinylpyrrolidone (5%), magnesium stearate (5%), sodium stearate (14%), and CMC-Na (9%) then fortified with 20% Caulerpa sp. seaweed flour. This invention is produced by drying and grinding Caulerpa sp., formulating, fortifying, homogenizing, and storing this invention in tightly closed plastic packaging. This invention can be administered to dairy goats at a dose of 10 g / week / dairy goat. This invention also describes a method for processing fermented goat milk and a dosage for administering it to experimental mice to prevent the prevalence of stunting.
