ENHANCED DISTRIBUTED CHANNEL ACCESS (EDCA) FOR COORDINATED CHANNEL ACCESS

Abstract

The present disclosure provides methods, components, devices, and systems for enhanced data channel access (EDCA) for coordinated channel access. Some aspects relate more specifically to prioritizing EDCA for accessing a wireless channel during a restricted target wake time (rTWT) service period (SP). For example, a first wireless device may receive an indication regarding EDCA parameters assigned to the first wireless device with respect to the rTWT SP from a second wireless device. In such an example, the first wireless device may compete for access to the wireless channel during the rTWT SP from the second wireless device using the EDCA parameters in accordance with the received indication. In some implementations, the second wireless device may broadcast a beacon that includes the EDCA parameters.In some other implementations, the second wireless device may transmit one or more rTWT negotiation messages that include EDCA parameters specified for the first wireless device.
