Abstract

This invention relates to the composition and method of manufacturing composite filaments for three-dimensional printing (3D printing) made from a combination of recycled polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and high-density polyethylene (HDPE) materials, with the addition of coffee husk waste as a natural filler. The manufacturing process is carried out through shredding plastic, processing coffee husks into a fine form, mixing, and extruding into filaments of controlled diameter. The result is a filament with a tensile strength of 0.13 – 4.70 Mpa, a density of 0.87 – 1.27 g / cm3 and a melt flow rate (MFR) of 0.5 – 229 gr / 10 min, which not only has adequate strength and heat resistance for 3D printing needs, but also offers added value in terms of sustainability by utilizing plastic waste and biomass.This invention opens up new opportunities for the use of environmentally friendly materials in the world of additive manufacturing while supporting the reduction of non-biodegradable waste.
