Abstract
This invention relates to a dye-based solar cell technology, specifically a method for making a platinum-based counter electrode modified using polyoxometalate material, where the counter electrode part is made by dripping a solution of cesium polyoxometalate salt in a dimethylsulfoxide solvent using a drop method followed by heating and then the process steps are repeated up to five times evenly. The dye-based solar cell device with a platinum paste-based counter electrode modified using polyoxometalate according to this invention is able to produce a dye-based solar cell device that has better performance than a similar solar cell device with an unmodified counter electrode. In addition, the counter electrode modification method in this invention is also relatively simple without requiring expensive high-vacuum-based deposition equipment.
