Abstract
A method and system for generating auxiliary power in a palm oil mill, wherein the exhaust steam (50) from the sterilizer (30a, 30b, 30c, 30d) is supplied to a secondary steam turbine (T2) to produce auxiliary power. The steam (40) flows freely into the sterilizer, flows freely within the sterilizer, and flows freely out of the sterilizer to power the secondary steam turbine (T2).
