AEROSOL PRODUCING SUBSTRATES AND METHODS OF PRODUCTION

Abstract

A method for making an aerosol generating substrate includes: making a substrate precursor: taking pre-processed tobacco and / or aromatic plants, an inorganic porous material, a polyol aerosol forming agent, a flavor additive, and a binder, adding water and / or ethanol, and conducting slurrying, granulation, and initial drying to form basic particles; conducting pressing and forming: to form an aerosol generating substrate with an air inlet hole; and conducting a drying and swelling treatment: conducting a secondary drying and swelling treatment, wherein the wall material of the aerosol generating substrate has a porous framework structure including continuous micropores. The manufacturing method does not require multiple high-temperature treatments, preventing flavor damage by high temperatures. The wall material forms a porous framework structure including continuous micropores.This ensures structural strength and increases the contact area between the outside air and the aerosol, resulting in more even mixing and a more abundant aerosol during suction. Additionally, an aerosol-generating substrate made using this method is provided.
