Abstract

Procedures, methods, architectures, apparatus, systems, devices, and computer program products for constellation mode selection. A wireless transmit / receive unit (WTRU) receives configuration information from a network, determines, based on the received configuration information, a constellation mode, wherein the constellation mode may be a single mode in which a first constellation is used to generate an uplink signal, or a chained mode in which a first constellation and then a second constellation, derived from the first constellation, are used to generate an uplink signal, reports, to the network, the determined constellation mode, and transmits, to the network, the generated uplink signal using the determined constellation mode.
