Abstract
This invention concerns a digestive tract activity detection system, more specifically a non-invasive digestive tract activity detection system, which works by capturing electrogastrogram (EGG) signals and then processing them using analog and digital signal processing techniques.This invention aims to provide a digestive tract activity detection system consisting of seven electrodes attached to the user's stomach surface to record electrogastrogram, EGG signals; one of the electrodes functions as a ground electrode; three signal conditioning modules each connected to a pair of electrodes and connected in parallel with the ground electrode via a cable; a microcontroller module connected to the three signal conditioning modules via analog input terminals A0, A1, and A2; and a computer or laptop connected to the microcontroller module via a Universal Serial Bus (USB) terminal, as a serial digital data receiver, storing data in .CSV file format, processing EGG signals, extracting signal features, and displaying the processing results in the form of a local host-based web interface.
