Abstract

A vehicle controller includes a torque controller (112) configured to adjust a motor target torque according to the amount of accelerator operation when a brake operation is released and a saddle-type vehicle is started in a state where the saddle-type vehicle is stopped and the brake and accelerator are operated simultaneously, a torque controller (114) configured to gradually increase a motor torque so that the torque reaches the set target torque when a predetermined initial time has elapsed after the saddle-type vehicle is started, and a timer (113) configured to vary the length of the initial time according to the number of motor rotations during the initial time.
