Microstrip Antenna with Patch and Ground Plane Modification FOR ULTRAWIDEBAND (UWB) APPLICATIONS Invention Engineering Field This invention concerns Microstrip Antennas, more particularly, This invention relates to modifications to patches and ground plane on a microstrip antenna so that the antenna is capable works at ultrawideband frequencies. Background of the Invention Furthermore, the proposed invention is intended to solve problems by providing discounts triangle on the patch and add two shaped slots L and one square slot on partial ground. Brief Description of the Invention The main objective of this invention is to overcome pre-existing problems especially for ultrawideband applications especially in the frequency range 1 Gigahertz to 5 Gigahertz. Claims
(Microstrip Antenna with Patch and Ground Plane Modifications for Ultrawideband Applications) which consists of a patch with two triangular slots and a partial ground with two shaped slots L and one square slot. The antenna uses a material FR-4 substrate with a thickness of 1.6 mm and a patch thickness of 0.035 mm. The antenna can work at frequencies of 2.82-11 GHz.
