Abstract
This invention relates to the production process and formulation of artificial fish feed based on shrimp waste flour used for the fattening process of fish with a minimum age of 2 months or a minimum weight of 10 grams. The shrimp waste flour used comes from shrimp shell waste. The resulting feed is a floating feed that has high stability. The mixture used consists of a mixture of shrimp shell waste flour, bran, cassava starch, vitamin premix, and squid oil with a ratio of 70% (w / w): 12% (w / w): 9% (w / w): 2% (w / w): 9% (w / w) and water is added to the mixture as much as 75% (w / w) of the mixed ingredients. The feed was made using a steaming method for 5-15 minutes, producing feed with a proximate composition of 40.50% protein, 35.75% carbohydrate, 6.00% fat, 14.75% ash content, 4.41% water content, and 4.00% crude fiber. Based on the proximate analysis, the mixture20 has met the SNI for fish feed.In the production process, to produce floating fish feed, there are stages, namely: drying shrimp shells at a temperature of 100-105oC for 80-100 minutes; grinding dried shrimp shells into shrimp shell flour; mixing shrimp shell flour with other dry ingredients25 such as bran, vitamin premix, squid oil, and water; steaming the mixture for 5-15 minutes; molding the pellet dough; and drying at a temperature of 150oC until dry. The above production process produces physical characteristics of 20 hours of breaking speed, 4% dispersion, 240 minutes of buoyancy, and 2.72 cm / second of sinking speed.
