Abstract

Water hyacinth (Eichornia crassipes) is one of the aquatic weeds that has the ability to grow very quickly so that it can cause damage to aquatic ecosystems. In addition, the nutrient content of water hyacinth is known to be able to be used as organic fertilizer for plants, including lettuce plants. The use of water hyacinth weeds as an environmentally friendly organic fertilizer is needed to increase the growth of lettuce plants and reduce the use of inorganic fertilizers. This invention relates to the process of making liquid organic fertilizer from fermented water hyacinth waste using Mikrobat consisting of a consortium of 5 bacteria in the form of Azotobacter sp., Pseudomonas sp., Lactobacillus sp., Paenibacillus polymyxa, and Streptomyces sp. The manufacturing process of this invention is carried out by the fermentation method to produce liquid organic fertilizer that can be used as a trigger for the growth of lettuce plants. The results of the trial on lettuce plants showed that the use of water hyacinth POC was able to increase the height of lettuce plants by 16.88 cm, the number of leaves by 6.48 pieces, leaf width by 6.57 cm, root length by 24.01 cm and an increase in the wet weight of the plant by 6.01 g.

Description

PROCESS OF MAKING WATER HYATTLE ORGANIC LIQUID FERTILIZER (Fichhornia crassipes) AS A TRIGGER FOR LETTUCE (Lactuca) PLANT GROWTH sativa L.) Invention Engineering Field This invention relates to the process of making organic fertilizer. liquid made from fermented water hyacinth waste using Microbat as a growth trigger for lettuce plants. Background of the Invention Lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) is one of the commodities horticulture which has high economic value and role which is good for human health. However, it is known based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (2016), crop production lettuce in 2010 reached 41,111 tons / year, but experienced a decline production decreased to 39,289 tons / year in 2015. The decline in crop production is greatly influenced by inputs given to plants in this case the use of fertilizer. Generally communities in carrying out agricultural cultivation using fertilizers inorganic to supply the plant's nutrient needs. However, it is known that the use of inorganic fertilizers causes various impacts negative effects include causing a decrease in soil quality and structure and the potential for beneficial microbes in the soil due to residues produced, besides that inorganic fertilizers are difficult to access by the community because it has limited availability. One of the efforts that can be made to improve lettuce plant production, namely by using organic fertilizer Liquid. Liquid organic fertilizer is a solution resulting from the decomposition of organic matter. organic materials from plant residues, agro-industrial waste, manure animals, fruit waste and human waste containing various types of nutrients. Benefits of using liquid organic fertilizer is able to improve the structure and quality of the soil because contains nutrients that plants need in the form of Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium along with other ingredients (Rasmito et et al., 2019). Liquid organic fertilizer can be used as an effort to reduce use of inorganic fertilizers and as an alternative to fertilizers cages. Liquid organic fertilizer can not only improve the properties of physical, chemical, and biological properties of the soil, but can also improve crop production and improving the quality of crop products (Indrakusuma, 2000). In making liquid organic fertilizer, sources / materials are needed. which has good capabilities in supporting growth plants. One of the plants that can be used as a material making liquid organic fertilizer from water hyacinth weeds. Water hyacinth or water-hyacinth is one of the frequent aquatic plants considered a weed because it grows so quickly that it covers the ground water surface and causes a reduction in dissolved oxygen (Ratnani, 2010). Water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes) contains ingredients organic matter of 78,478, C / N ratio of 75.8 8, total N of 0.288, P total of 0.00118, K total of 0.0168 and fiber content of 20.68. (Kusrinah et al., 2016). Water hyacinth Goiter is also known to contain high levels of protein, between 12-188, and has complete amino acids that can play a role as an alternative to the growth hormone gibberlin (Bayyinatul et al., 2012). Gibberellin is a hormone that plays an important role in plant growth, can help the growth of stem cells, leaves, and other airborne parts by stimulating cell elongation and internodal parts (Rastogi et al., 2013). Water hyacinth is known to have the ability to accelerate plant growth. Based on research conducted by Moi et al., (2015) showed that the provision of organic fertilizer Water hyacinth solution has a significant effect on growth and mustard greens production. Meanwhile, Apzani's research (2017), shows that the use of fermented water hyacinth POC Trichoderma spp. has a significant influence on the parameters lettuce plant growth such as plant height, number of leaves, wet weight and dry weight of lettuce plants. The proposed invention provides a process for manufacturing fertilizer. liquid organic made from fermented water hyacinth weeds with 5 microbes in the form of Azotobacter sp., Pseudomonas sp., Lactobacillus sp., Paenibacillus polymyxa, and Streptomyces sp. which aims to stimulate the growth of lettuce plants. The results of searching for similar patents found several patents. namely CN-Patent No.1539798 A concerning organic fertilizer manufacturing techniques liquid from water hyacinth, stems and leaves of the plant. This patent consists of from the refining process, separation of solids and liquids, sterilization, addition of livestock manure and fermentation using EM bacterium or CM bacterium. This fertilizer can increase soil fertility and minimize environmental pollution. The results of this fertilizer test able to increase eggplant production. CN-Patent No.1583679 A regarding water hyacinth biofertilizer. This fertilizer is made from animal feces and urine, straw or sawdust. sawdust that is mixed and then fermented. In the process fermentation using bacillus, actinobacillus and fungal agents budding fungus. This fertilizer is rich in the nutrients needed plants such as the nutrients N, P, K and other nutrients needed by plants and the content of beneficial microorganisms for accelerate the decomposition of organic materials, prevent the emergence of pathogens and increase plant growth. CN-Patent No.101928157 B regarding the manufacture of liquid organic fertilizer water hyacinth through hydrothermal processing, this patent allows for relatively faster production of liquid organic fertilizer with comprehensive nutritional content and does not cause harm secondary pollution / methane gas. CN-Patent No.101037355 A concerning Foliar Fertilizer for Plants Made from water hyacinth liquid base. In the process of making this patent made from water hyacinth zymotic fluid using a process fermentation using composite fungi, the resulting fermentation liquid contains humic acid which is needed by plants so that it can improve plant quality. This fertilizer contains nutrients that useful for increasing soil fertility, can strengthen plant resistance, preventing attacks by pests and plant diseases. CN-Patent No.104761352 B regarding providing a type of liquid organic composite plant nutrition of water hyacinth and its application. In In its manufacture, water hyacinth waste is squeezed until a liquid is obtained. water hyacinth, then the liquid is added with active ingredients nutrients and antioxidants which are then diluted with water. Patent It has a balanced nutrient content and is capable of increase the production of tomatoes, cucumbers, strawberries and various crops other gardens. Of the several patent documents that have been registered, not yet found a patent document regarding the manufacture of liquid organic fertilizer which is fermented using 5 microbes in the form of Azotobacter sp., Pseudomonas sp., Lactobacillus sp., Paenibacillus polynyxa, and Streptomyces sp. to increase the growth of lettuce plants. Summary of Invention This invention is in the form of a process for making liquid organic fertilizer. Microbat fermentation is carried out based on water hyacinth weeds with the following stages: (1) Provision of materials and microbial starters.
