Abstract

This invention relates to the field of magnetic materials engineering, specifically iron sand-based manganese-doped iron oxide materials as radar wave absorbing materials. This invention provides a magnetic material Fe‚,‚ˆ‚…Mn‚€,‚ ‚O‚ which is a manganese-doped magnetite with the general formula Fe‚ƒ‚‹‚“Mn‚“O‚„, with a value of x = 0.15. The material is made by utilizing iron sand as a local source of iron oxide, then modified through partial substitution of Fe ions by Mn ions to improve magnetic characteristics and electromagnetic wave absorption capabilities. The Fe‚,‚ˆ‚…Mn‚€,‚ ‚O‚„ material according to this invention has a manganese-doped magnetite cubic spinel crystal structure, in the form of magnetic powder, and contains The main elements are Fe, Mn, and O. This material is used as a radar wave absorber, especially in the X-band frequency range.Based on the test, the Feâ‚‚,₈₅Mnâ‚€,â‚ â‚…Oâ‚„ material shows absorption capability with a reflection loss value lower than −10 dB, thus fulfilling the indicators as an electromagnetic wave absorbing material. The advantages of this invention lie in the use of local iron sand raw materials, specific manganese doping composition, and increased radar wave absorption capability compared to Fe₃Oâ‚„ without manganese doping.
