Abstract

CROSS FLOW BASED CYLINDRICAL CERAMIC MEMBRANE TEST CELL FOR GAS SEPARATION This invention relates to a ceramic membrane test cell for gas separation. The gas flow direction is parallel to the membrane, or commonly referred to as a cross-flow configuration. The housing shape is adapted for a cylindrical membrane, with a thickness between 3mm-10mm. This invention includes components for the test cell, the test cell configuration, and a gas separation system that can be adapted for single or mixed gases. This invention aims to produce a gas separation test cell with components, configurations, and separation systems that have been adapted for gases so that they are more dense. In addition, the membrane that will be used can also have a thickness that varies between 3mm to 10mm. This invention can be a new alternative to the type of test cell for gas testing, with an easy manufacturing process, easily available materials.
