B3 WASTE INCINERATION WITH CHARCOAL FOR IGNITER START-UP IN A STAGED COMBUSTION SYSTEM

Abstract

This invention concerns a hazardous waste incinerator that uses charcoal as the start-up igniter and the initial primary fuel in a staged combustion system. This incinerator has two combustion chambers. Chamber 1 functions to directly incinerate waste fueled by charcoal combustion, while Chamber 2 functions to re-burn volatile gases resulting from incomplete combustion from Chamber 1. Its innovative features include the use of beams to support the charcoal, a double firing system with two burners in Chamber 2, and a tortuous flow design to extend the gas residence time. Its construction of refractory bricks and equipped with a maintenance door ensures durability and ease of maintenance. This invention is suitable for small and medium-scale hazardous waste processing applications that require cost efficiency and simple operations.
