Abstract

This invention relates to the process of making fish floss from trash fish. Trash fish are small-sized fish caught with low economic value, usually only used as animal feed but have high nutritional value, especially in protein, mineral, and essential fatty acid content. The invention of the trash fish floss making process includes sorting and cleaning trash fish; soaking in 5% concentration vinegar as much as 15% of the fish material for 30 minutes; draining and mixing spices; cooking with a 2 atm pressure cooker; shredding; cooking with spices; drying with an oven; cooling and packaging. This invention process is easy to apply on a household scale or MSMEs with an easy method, simple equipment and easily available materials.
