A SYSTEM FOR RISK SCREENING OF DENTAL DISORDERS, ORAL MUCOSA CONDITIONS, AND PRECANCER LESIONS THROUGH ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE-BASED INTRAORAL IMAGE PROCESSING

Abstract

This invention relates to an artificial intelligence-based intraoral image processing system on a mobile device for early risk screening of dental abnormalities, oral mucosal conditions, and precancerous lesions. The system acquires oral images through the mobile device's camera, automatically checks image quality, performs anatomical pre-processing and segmentation, and classifies visual conditions using an artificial intelligence model. The system outputs risk categories, suspicious area maps, brief educational resources, and triage recommendations. The system can be run locally on the device, on an encrypted server, or in a hybrid manner. This invention helps provide more accessible, structured, and non-invasive oral screening, without replacing professional medical diagnosis.
