Abstract

The present invention relates to the formulation of a hyperbaric local anesthetic injectable preparation for parenteral, particularly intrathecal, use. The present invention relates in particular to a pharmaceutical composition containing (2RS)-N-(2-methylphenyl)-2-(propylamino) propanamide hydrochloride as the active ingredient and dextrose monohydrate as the tonicity agent, and to the adjustment of their ratio to enhance the stability of the active ingredients under storage conditions, including accelerated temperature conditions. This pharmaceutical composition is without buffering agents and without preservatives.
