Abstract

An invention has been produced related to the independent verification method of Center of Rotation (COR) on the Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT) system using Xeleris and Fiji (ImageJ) software. This invention was carried out by analyzing the projection data of COR test results using a Technetium-99m (Tc-99m) radioactive source with an activity of 1.3 mCi and a Low Energy High Resolution Sensitivity (LEHRS) collimator. The results of the analysis using Xeleris showed a COR deviation value ΔX of -0.51609 mm to 0.45180 mm and ΔY of -0.04113 mm to 0.20130 mm, while the analysis using Fiji produced an X-axis COR offset value of 0.35775 mm to 0.86337 mm and a Y-axis of 0.91096 mm to 1.67002 mm. Comparison of the two methods shows a consistent trend in results and all values are still within the tolerance limits of the SPECT system quality control. This invention produces an independent, transparent COR verification method that can be used as an alternative quality control validation to improve the reliability of SPECT system performance evaluation.
