SLIDING CIGARETTE PACKAGE WITH A TRIANGLE OPENING AT THE TOP CORNER OF THE INNER PACKAGE

Abstract

The present invention relates to a sliding cigarette pack made of paper or cardboard sheets comprising an outer pack and an inner pack. The inner pack is configured to accommodate a cigarette and can slide relative to the outer pack between a closed position and an open position. The inner pack has a triangular-shaped side top corner opening formed by a triangular-shaped opening panel. The opening panel is bounded by an opening edge and one or more panel-forming fold lines. The inner pack is provided with a paper fold arrangement including a connecting fold area for transmitting a force from the sliding motion of the inner pack to the opening panel. When the inner pack is slid to the open position, the paper fold arrangement folds the opening panel so that a side top corner opening is formed and provides local access to the cigarette. When the inner pack is slid back to the closed position, the paper fold arrangement directs the opening panel back to the closed position.The present invention provides a sliding cigarette packaging structure with local openings controlled by paper folds on the inner packaging.
