ELECTITE- An automotive electrical connector advancement

Abstract

The invention is an advancement in automotive electrical connectors, to overcome defects in electrical repairs across the auto-motive industry, in particular unreliable electrical connectivity in the diagnostic and repair procedures. An electrical connector according to the present invention comprises a connector-end, two wire receivers connected to each other by a bridging section and an insulation sleeve. The two wire receivers are star-shaped collapsible tubular sections configured to be positioned around a wire and subsequently crimped onto the wire. The inside surface of the wire receivers is corrugated with a plurality of sharp corrugations. It provides reliable first-time electrical connectivity and offers cost and labour savings in automotive electrical installation and repair applications.
