[0002] The invention relates to a material panel with several middle layers made of different bamboo material and two top layers, as well as a method for its production.

The coarse core layers, made of long-fiber bamboo strands, have a large number of cavities, which are desirable for achieving a low panel weight and should not be filled with glue or a glue-fiber mixture during the manufacturing process.

These two thin layers create a particularly finely structured or smooth surface, onto which top layers 5, 6 made of various materials, such as paint, resin coatings or resin-impregnated papers, linoleum, synthetic resin, or aluminum, can be applied.
