AI Technical Summary
Existing multilayer material panels with bamboo middle layers face challenges in maintaining low weight due to the presence of cavities, which can be exacerbated by filling these cavities with glue or glue-fiber mixtures, leading to increased panel weight and potentially compromising surface smoothness.
A material plate design featuring a middle layer of cross-laid long-fiber bamboo strands with adjoining fine bamboo chip layers, ensuring the cavities remain empty and allowing for smooth surface application, utilizing specific glue mixtures and additives to enhance properties like fire protection, water resistance, and stability without increasing weight.
The solution achieves a lightweight, stable, and smooth-surfaced material plate with customizable properties such as fire protection and water resistance, while maintaining a low weight by avoiding cavity filling, and can be produced using a single-stage pressing process.

Abstract
Description
[0001] material plate
[0002] The invention relates to a material panel with several middle layers made of different bamboo material and two top layers, as well as a method for its production.
[0003] Multi-layered panels with bamboo core layers to reduce weight are well-known. The coarse core layers, made of long-fiber bamboo strands, have a large number of cavities, which are desirable for achieving a low panel weight and should not be filled with glue or a glue-fiber mixture during the manufacturing process.
[0004] The invention is therefore based on the objective of creating a material sheet and a method for its production in which the cavities of the long-fiber middle layer are largely empty.
[0005] According to the invention, this is achieved by the characterizing features of claim 1 and the method claim.
[0006] According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the middle layer consists of crosswise laid long-fibered bamboo strands, and the layers adjoining it on both sides consist of glued fine bamboo chips or shavings. This results in particularly smooth surfaces on which thin top layers are applied.
[0007] Preferred embodiments of the invention are described below with reference to the accompanying drawings. Fig. 1 shows a schematic perspective view of a material plate with a middle layer...
[0008] The material panel shown in Fig. 1 consists of five layers: a middle layer 1 made of crosswise arranged bamboo strands 2 and two thin layers 3, 4 made of glued bamboo chips or shavings, adjoining it on both sides. These two thin layers create a particularly finely structured or smooth surface, onto which top layers 5, 6 made of various materials, such as paint, resin coatings or resin-impregnated papers, linoleum, synthetic resin, or aluminum, can be applied.
[0009] It is particularly important that the material of the fine layers does not get into the cavities, as this would increase the weight of the board. The coarse chips are smoothed off, and then the fine layer is applied.
[0010] Fire protection boards and fire protection elements can be manufactured using special adhesive mixtures and additives such as gypsum or other non-combustible materials.
[0011] Other special adhesive mixtures can be used to produce waterproof boards for damp or wet areas, for floors in bathrooms or in the construction sector.
[0012] Using a different special adhesive, such as PVA glue, a formaldehyde-free eco-panel can be produced. With additives like polystyrene, balsa wood, or poplar shavings, a panel can be manufactured that is very light and stable.
[0013] With very high compaction for the absolutely most stable version with denser fill and higher pressing pressure, special slabs with maximum stability are produced.
[0014] The panels are manufactured in a single-stage pressing process involving all layers. The layered arrangement is fed onto a conveyor belt and fed into a press where the layers are pressed together.
