Abstract

Hematology analyzer and counting method are provided. Particles in a to-be-tested sample solution pass through a detection region one by one and are irradiated with light, to obtain forward-scattered light signals and fluorescence signals; a first scattergram is generated based on the forward-scattered light signals and the fluorescence signals, and a basophilic granulocyte population region and a ghost particle region are identified from the first scattergram; particles falling into the basophilic granulocyte population region are counted to obtain a total number of the particles in the basophilic granulocyte population region; a number of nucleated red blood cells in the basophilic granulocyte population region is obtained based on the ghost particle region; and a basophilic granulocyte count result is obtained based on the total number and the number of the nucleated red blood cells. Thus, interfering nucleated red blood cells can be accurately identified from the basophilic granulocyte population.
