DESC:FIELD OF THE INVENTION:The present invention relates generally to fruit processing apparatus. More specifically, this invention relates to an apparatus for peeling of fruits for removing the outer skin of any thickness. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION:Fruits and vegetables are highly perishable, spoiled primarily due to biochemical changes (enzymatic and / or by the activity of bacteria, yeast and moulds). Microbial activities are controlled or destroyed in order to preserve the fruits and vegetables. In the tropical countries, post-harvest losses in fruits and vegetables are one of the most processing problems. Manual peeling of fruits is a time-consuming and labour intensive process. Though some manual tools are available in the market which eases the process of peeling off, it is not suitable for industrial use due to slow production rate and manual operation. Equipment used for cutting or peeling operations should be designed and constructed in such a way that it is easy to clean and maintain for minimizing the potential for microbial contamination of the fresh products. There is a need to increase the production rate specifically for industrial purposes. This invention is intended to provide an apparatus that addresses all the above issues, simplifying the entire task, which is economical, easy to operate, quick and easy to manufacture. The present invention is particularly effective in eliminating manual handling of fresh fruit while insuring maximum recovery of solid meat therefrom. OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION:The invention, therefore, has for its primary object the peeling of fruit in an automatic manner.A further object of the invention is to provide an apparatus for peeling of fruits which will not only result in automatic peeling, but which will provide for an improved yield in the product.Yet an additional object of the invention is to provide an apparatus for peeling of fruits that is efficient and quick.A further additional object of the invention is to provide an apparatus for peeling of fruits which is of simple construction, easy to manufacture and cost-effective. Yet another object of the invention is to provide an apparatus for peeling of fruits convenient to use with minimal human intervention. An additional object of the invention is to provide an apparatus for peeling of fruits wherein the rate at which the fruits are peeled is higher and hence suitable for small to large scale food processing industries. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION According to this invention, there is provided an apparatus for peeling of fruits (100) comprises: - a cuboid frame (5) allowing the fruit to be introduced and peeled within the volume of the apparatus;- a set of gripper box with jaws that acts as a spindle where the fruit is to be peeled is loaded;- a pair of belts (3) and pulley (2); - a detachable blade (6); and - a power source (1) for operation of the said apparatus. According to this invention, there is provided method of operation of the apparatus for peeling of fruits comprising the following steps, - the power source (1) is switched on, the fruit starts to rotate about its own axis; - the position of blade (6) of the peeler assembly is adjusted manually and set at a predefined position which brings about the engagement of the peeler assembly and the blade (6) of the assembly moves from one direction of the apparatus to the other thereby peeling the fruit completely at a go;- upon completion, the peeled fruit is removed from the gripper box and a new fruit is loaded peeling the new fruit following the above steps.BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ACCOMPANYING DRAWINGS:The invention will now be described in relation to the accompanying drawings, in which:Figure 1 illustrates an isometric view of the apparatus for peeling of fruits.Figure 2 illustrates a top view of the apparatus for peeling of fruits.Figure 3(a) and (b) illustrates the side view of the apparatus for peeling of fruits.DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE ACCOMPANYING DRAWINGS:According to this invention, there is provided an apparatus for peeling of fruits (100).The fruit peeling apparatus (100) comprises a basic four-legged cuboid structure forming the frame (5) of the apparatus. This cuboid or square like structure establishes stability of the apparatus and for allowing to be introduced and peeled within the volume of the apparatus. The frame (5) is constructed of a sturdy material, such as stainless steel or a similar commercial grade metal. The peeler assembly (100) is operated by means of a power source (1). A set of gripper box having jaws (7) forms a part of the peeling assembly that acts as a spindle where the fruit to be peeled is loaded. A pair of belts (3) and pulleys (2) is provided for the easy operation of the apparatus (100). The blade (6) for peeling the fruit is removably attached to the peeler assembly by means of lead screws (8). The power source (1) is an induction motor. The motion from the motor (1) is transmitted using the first set of belt-pulley (3,2) to rotate the set of gripper box acting as spindle where the fruit has been loaded for peeling. The second set of belt-pulley transmits the motion to the peeler assembly through a lead screw (8) which moves the blade (6) over the fruit in a straight line. The peeler assembly is engaged and disengaged with the lead screw (8) manually. The peeler blade (6) is made from a thin metal with adjustable height as per size of the fruit. The blade (6) of the apparatus functions as a peeler to remove the covering / peel of the fruit.While in operation, the fruit to be peeled is placed horizontally on the jaws of the gripper boxes. Once the power source (1) is switched on, the fruit starts to rotate about its own axis. The position of blade (6) of the peeler assembly is adjusted manually and set at a predefined position. This brings about the engagement of the peeler assembly and the blade (6) of the assembly moves from one direction of the apparatus to the other thereby peeling the fruit completely at a go. Upon completion, the peeled fruit is removed from the gripper box and a new fruit is loaded peeling the new fruit following the above steps. The entire fruit is peeled in few seconds. The blade (8) can be a high-quality carbon steel, high grade stainless steel and can be changed depending on the requirement for the peeling of the fruit based on various factors such as thickness, porosity, strength, shape of the fruit. The TECHNICAL ADVANCEMENT of this invention lies in providing an apparatus for peeling of fruits which is of simple construction, easy to manufacture and cost-effective wherein the rate at which the fruits are peeled is higher and hence suitable for small to large scale food processing industries. With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of the invention, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by the present invention.Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the invention. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the invention to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the invention. 2. The apparatus for peeling of fruits (100) as claimed in claim 1 wherein, the said blade (6) for peeling the fruit is removably attached to the peeler assembly by means of lead screws (8).
