In the field of bed bases, both spring and slatted ones are already known, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. However, the aim of this invention is to propose a bed base with a mattress support surface which combines the positive characteristics of spring and slatted bed bases and which can also perform the function of a so-called orthopaedic bed base, even in its simplicity and low cost. realization. Such an aim is achieved, according to the present invention, with a bed base where the mattress support surface is made up of a wooden panel suspended from a perimeter supporting frame by means of corner traction springs and underlying central and / or lateral support springs. Claims
CLAIMS 1. Bed base comprising a perimeter frame frame (10) with or without support legs (11), characterised by a mattress support surface made up of a plywood panel (12) suspended from the perimeter frame by means of corner traction springs (13) and underlying central and / or lateral suspension springs (14,14a).
2. Bed base according to claim 1, wherein the corner traction springs (13) are arranged horizontally and hooked to an ear (16) fixed to the frame (10) and to a plate (15) fixed to the panel (12).
3. Bed base according to claim 2, wherein said plate (15) has a stem or pin (15') which fits into a hole $4 provided in the panel (12).
