P / 16258 "PERFECTED BACKREST FOR CHAIRS, ARMCHAIRS AND THE LIKE" On behalf of: CEDAPLAST srl based in CASTELFRANCO VENETO (Treviso) DESCRIPTION The present invention relates to an improved backrest for chairs, armchairs and the like. Nowadays, office-type chairs are widely used, consisting of a base equipped with swivel wheels from which a column extends, to the upper end of which a plate that supports the seat is fixed. In these types of chairs and armchairs, the seat support plate is usually coupled with an "L" shaped tubular support that holds the backrest. The latter is normally made up of an anatomically shaped plate-like body covered on the support side by a layer of padding.
