AI Technical Summary
Existing parking discs for vehicles are manual, requiring user intervention for positioning and adjustment, and lack precise time indication, especially in urban areas with varying stay limits.
An apparatus that automatically signals the start time of parking using a vehicle-integrated clock connected to the ignition system, displaying the stop time visibly from outside, with optional battery or solar power, and featuring a display for precise time indication.
Provides automatic and precise setting of the parking start time, eliminating the need for manual intervention and ensuring accurate time display even when the engine is off.
Description
DESCRIPTION annexed to a patent application for a UTILITY MODEL having as its title DEVICE TO SIGNAL THE START TIME OF THE STOP IN VEHICLES. On behalf of WIDS Srl, Italian national, with headquarters in VIADANA (MN), Via Verdi n 15 / A The Agents Eng. Fabrizio DALLAGLIO (Register no. 325 BM) and Eng. Stefano GOTRA (Register no. 503 BM), domiciled at BUGNION SpA in PARMA, Via Garibaldi, 43> 7 TX fxzxZX Depositatali ' w ' CAiXXJ sk * to N PC LcqO U coconut Q The subject of the invention is a device for signalling the start time of parking in vehicles, particularly in motor vehicles. As is known, especially in urban areas there are areas for parking vehicles in which a maximum permanence time is established, which varies depending on the legislation in force and the urban area concerned. To indicate the arrival time of the vehicle and therefore the start time of the stop, the so-called time discs are known, so called because they are made up of at least two discs distant from each other. Along the external surface of at least one disc, a series of times are shown in sequence to cover a day. The increment between one indicated time and the next is a discrete quantity, variable according to the available space and therefore the dimensions of the disc. The opposite disc has at least one window to make visible the chosen time corresponding to the arrival time. start of the break Parking discs have some major drawbacks. First of all they are manual devices that the user must remember to place inside the vehicle in a way that is visible from the outside. Secondly, he must remember to adjust them, i.e. to insert the start or stop time. Thirdly, the discrete sequence of treasury values does not allow for a precise and direct indication of the start time of the stop. The purpose of this invention is to eliminate the above-mentioned drawbacks by making available a device for signalling the start time of parking in vehicles which is activated automatically and which allows for a precise and accurate setting of the start time of parking. These purposes are fully achieved by the apparatus for signalling the start time of parking in vehicles which is the subject of the invention, which is characterised by the contents of the claims reported below and in particular by the fact that it comprises connection means for connecting a clock to the ignition of the vehicle itself or to the position of the ignition key, said position being able to be on the dashboard with the ignition on or off, or removed from the dashboard, display means interacting with the clock and the connection means for displaying on a display a fixed time, which is the start time of parking of the vehicle, depending on the ignition state or the position of the key detected by the connection means. This and other characteristics will be better highlighted by the following description of a specific embodiment illustrated, purely by way of example and not by way of limitation, in the attached drawing, in which the only figure illustrates a diagram of a device for signalling the start time of parking in vehicles. With reference to the figure with 1 a device has been indicated to signal the start time of parking in vehicles. As illustrated schematically in figure such pair 1 comprises a clock 2 mounted preferably inside the vehicle itself (but can also be mounted externally for example in correspondence with the external side mirrors) and means 3 for displaying the time, consisting of a display positioned so as to be visible from the outside The watch can be, for example, digital, with a time display with four digits (two for the hours and two for the minutes) and seven segments, or with two hands (one for the hours and one for the minutes). The apparatus I in one embodiment can be an autonomous element applied internally to the vehicle in a manner visible from the outside, or externally to the vehicle, powered autonomously (with an internal battery or even by solar cells) or connected to the vehicle battery. In another embodiment, the pair comprises a clock which is internal to the vehicle and an integral part of it, often as a standard feature, and a separate display 3 (internal or external to the vehicle) connected to the clock itself in such a way as to be visible from the outside and constituting a display means. The apparatus 1 or the display means 3 can also advantageously be positioned on the unused rear side of modern satellite navigators, which generally emerge from the dashboard of the vehicle and have an unused side facing the windscreen on which the above apparatus can be applied. Connection means 4 are originally provided (via cable or via radio with a transmitter and a receiver of electromagnetic waves) to connect the clock to the ignition of the vehicle (schematically indicated with 5) or to the position of the ignition key, which can be inserted on the dashboard in the off position. No engine start or stop or it can be deactivated and removed from the dashboard The display means interact with the clock and with the connection means to display on the display 3 a fixed time, which is the time at which the vehicle stops. This occurs depending on the ignition status or the position of the key activated by the connection means. In the description, explicit reference is made to a clock, although it includes any time counting device connected to the vehicle ignition in such a way as to permanently display the exact time the engine is switched off or the ignition key is removed. This device, or at least the display which is part of the device, can be applied to the windscreen or in any case to a part of the vehicle visible from the outside. The display of the time when the engine is switched off or the key is removed lasts until the engine is switched on again or the key is inserted again, which causes the displayed time to be reset (the display does not show anything), or the exact current time to be displayed (clock-like operation). If the vehicle uses other starting methods, such as push button, remote control or other, the clock will be connected directly to these which will control the display and resetting of the time. According to a variant of the embodiment, a second display 3b is provided which displays the stopping time, i.e. it is a time counter display which starts counting the time at the moment of the start of the stopping. To facilitate reading of display 3 and / or display 3b, the words “ARRIVAL TIME”, “PARKING FROM” and “ARRIVAL TIME” are provided at locations 6, 7, 8 and 9 respectively. “HOURS”, “MINUTES” you IM
