AI Technical Summary
Existing formwork spacers allow water to flow along their axis, leading to costly maintenance and restoration issues in concrete or reinforced concrete walls, especially in under-level works with internal or external water presence.
Incorporation of a hydro-expansive element with a variable section into the formwork spacer during manufacturing to block water flow in both directions, maintaining structural integrity without requiring modifications or additional maintenance.
The solution effectively prevents water passage, ensuring no structural changes or maintenance needs, and withstands varying water loads, replacing traditional spacers with advantages.
Description
DESCRIPTION OF A UTILITY MODEL TITLE: Formwork blade or spacer featuring a water-stop system that prevents the flow of a liquid along the axis of the blade or spacer itself, in the name of CAPELLO Angelo Vittorio, of Italian nationality, resident in Genoa Via Leonardo Fea 127 and of PISTONE Marco, of Italian nationality, resident in Chieri (TO) in Via Collodi 3. Description The present invention concerns the closure of the passage of water through the blades of the formwork spacers. Today, any concrete or reinforced concrete wall is built using wooden or metal formwork / panels, which allow the desired width of the wall to be created. The panels are spaced apart using blades or rods of various types, such as steel, plastic, or wood, commercially known as "formwork blades or spacers." Once the concrete is poured inside the formwork, the blades are incorporated into the wall, becoming an integral part of it. In all works below ground level and in the presence of water, both from inside and outside the structure, the formwork spacers cause the water to be conveyed, along their axis, towards the inside or outside of the wall being constructed. Our system aims to eliminate the passage of water which is the cause of expensive maintenance and repairs, very often immediately after the construction of the same structures. * '• dd 29 MflG 7POO According to the present invention the problem is solved by using the insertion of a hydro-expansive element, having a variable section depending on the product used, placed inside the AB section, already during the manufacturing phase of the formwork blade or spacer. This product has been dimensionally designed to be able to adapt to the various sections of the support, to close and block the possible passage of water in both directions: from inside to outside and vice versa, in a timely, gradual and constant manner over time. The formwork blade thus prepared does not involve any changes or dimensional modifications to the structures being built, does not require maintenance or special care during its use, is able to withstand various water loads, and is an innovation that could significantly replace the current formwork blades in use. 2.-=1-05 -200^
Claims
Claims 1) Formwork spacer 1, featuring a water-stop system 2. 2) Water-stop 2 made of a hydro-expansive material with a synthetic or natural base, which increases its initial volume upon contact with water. 3) The insertion of hydro-expansive sealing products 2, does not allow the passage of water along the axis of the blade or formwork spacer, in either direction of any geometric section, size or nature. 4) The positioning of the Water-stop 2 elements described below may have a variable distance between A and B depending on the thickness of the wall to be created; in particular cases the Water-stop 2 product may be positioned several times on the formwork blade or spacer 1 between points A and B. 5) The prefabricated hydro-expansive Water-stop 2 products can be natural or synthetic, and depending on their nature they can be placed on the spacer 1 with a spreading, gluing, stapling, binding, vulcanization, extrusion system in any case in order to obtain the interruption of the passage of any liquid, natural or synthetic, along the axis of the blade or formwork spacer.
