AI Technical Summary
Existing coat hangers made of plastic or pressed cardboard are not recyclable, lack robustness, and contribute to ecological issues, leading to increased transport costs and potential garment detachment during transport.
A cardboard coat hanger design featuring an internal reinforcing body with a recess for a cap-like block to secure a metal hook, ensuring stability and recyclability, using cellulose pulp or paperboard materials for both bodies with interlocking and gluing.
The design provides a robust, recyclable, and cost-effective coat hanger that securely supports garments, reducing transport costs and preventing detachment, while being easy to dispose of environmentally.
Description
Title Coat hanger B177824 Coat hanger DESCRIPTION This invention concerns a coat hanger. More specifically, the invention concerns a coat hanger made of cardboard, paper, or other paperboard materials. As is known, coat hangers are normally made of plastic with a hanging hook made of iron or possibly also made of plastic. However, these types of hangers are not easily recyclable and in any case require the use of plastic, a solution that is increasingly opposed for ecological reasons. Furthermore, plastic hangers have a certain weight that is added to the weight of the garment they support and therefore leads to higher transport costs if the hangers are used to hang clothes in transport boxes with hanger systems. There are also coat hangers made of pressed cardboard on the market, which, however, have the drawback of not being particularly robust and therefore not B177824 to be able to support the weight of some particular items. Furthermore, the deformation that a known type of cardboard hanger undergoes is such that the item of clothing may, during transport, be subject to detachment from the hanger and therefore fall into the box. The main aim of the present invention is to create a cardboard coat hanger that has a structure suitable for supporting the weight of any type of garment. Within the scope of this task, an object of the present invention is to provide a coat hanger in which the coat hanger hook is stably anchored to the coat hanger. Another aim of this invention is to create a coat hanger that can be easily disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner. Another aim of the present invention is to create a coat hanger that is highly reliable, relatively simple to manufacture and at competitive costs. This task, as well as these and other aims which will become clearer later, are achieved B177824 from a coat hanger, comprising an internal reinforcing body, suitable for being coupled internally to an external body, a hanging hook being provided coupled to the coupling between the internal body and the external body, characterised in that said internal body is provided with a recess suitable for allowing the insertion of a block which closes said recess like a cap and which houses the stem of said hanging hook. Further characteristics and advantages of the invention will become clearer from the description of preferred, but not exclusive, embodiments of the coat hanger according to the present invention, illustrated by way of example and not by way of limitation in the attached drawings, in which: Figure 1 illustrates an exploded perspective view of the hanger according to the present invention; figure 2 shows a perspective view, in exploded form but with parts already assembled, of the hanger in figure 1; Figure 3 shows a perspective view of the hanger in Figures 1 and 2 in the condition B177824 assembled; figure 4 shows a front view, in longitudinal section, of the hanger of figures 13; Figures 5a-5e illustrate in perspective view different embodiments of hooks applicable to the hanger according to the present invention; Figures 6, 7 and 8 illustrate alternative embodiments to the embodiment of the previous figures. With reference to the figures, the coat hanger according to the present invention, globally indicated by the reference number 1, comprises an internal reinforcing body 2 suitable for being internally coupled to an external body 3 with a hanging hook 5 provided coupled to the coupling between the internal body and the external body 3. Conveniently, the inner body 2 is made of cellulose pulp, paper, cardboard or other paperboard materials, as is the outer body 3. The internal bodies 1 and 2 are interlocked B177824 and / or glued and the internal body 2 acts as a reinforcing element of the external body 3. In bodies 1 and 2 can be made in one or more separate parts. The metal hook 5 is inserted into a hole 6 defined at the upper face of the external body 3 and passes through another hole 7 defined at the upper face of the internal body 2, to be blocked internally by a washer 8 and / or stops. Conveniently, the internal body 2 is equipped with a central recess 9, defined in correspondence with the region of the internal body 2 in which the hole 7 for the passage of the hook 5 is provided. The recess 9 is suitable for accommodating a block 10 which acts as a cap, conforming perfectly to the shape of the recess 9, and provided with a groove 11 within which the shank of the hook 5 is housed with a respective washer 8. The groove 11 allows the shank of the hook 5 to be housed with the respective washer 8 and / or stops. Conveniently, groove 11 partially affects the thickness of the block. B177824 The block 10 therefore acts as a cap with respect to the gap 9 and can be made of solid cardboard, paper, cellulose pulp or other paper materials. Figure 2 illustrates the insertion of the block 10 into the internal reinforcing body 2 and Figure 4 illustrates a sectional view of the block 10 inserted into the reinforcing body 2 when the latter is fitted and / or glued into the external body 3. In this way, the coat hanger according to the present invention is made entirely of cardboard or other similar materials and also has the hook 5 which is firmly locked by interlocking and / or gluing within the block 10 and therefore the force that the hook exerts on the coat hanger is distributed on the block 10 and on the walls of the recess 9 of the internal body 2. Conveniently, the internal body 2 is internally hollow and closed at the bottom and can be made in one or more separate parts. The coupling between the internal body 2 and the internal body 3 therefore defines a body B177824 internally closed as the outer body 3 has an upper surface 3a and is internally hollow, while the inner body 2 has a lower surface 2a and is internally hollow. The coupling of the inner body 2 within the inner body 3 therefore defines a coupling essentially between two shells. Figures 5a-5e illustrate different types of hook 5, which differ in the particular type of hook fastening, obtained by means of a washer 21 with a stop underneath, as illustrated in figure 5a, a pair of washers 22, as illustrated in figure 5b, a pair of washers 22 with stops 23 in a position underneath, as illustrated in figure 5c, the nut 8 already described previously (figure 5d) and a single washer 24 with stop 25 welded and integrated into the hook (figure 5e). Figure 6 illustrates a variant of the first embodiment illustrated above, in which the block 10 is shown without a closure, so as not to occlude the cavity 11. Figure 7 illustrates the variant described above of the block 10, provided with a flap 13. B177824 foldable, as illustrated in figure 8, so as to occlude the cavity 11 and therefore allow the hook 5 to be kept totally embedded in the entire central portion 10. In practice, it has been found that the coat hanger according to the present invention fully fulfills the intended task and purposes, since it allows for its complete recyclability, allows the hanging hook to be robustly coupled to the body of the coat hanger, and furthermore, the coat hanger is completely encapsulated, having two opposing surfaces, upper and lower, which define a completely closed shell. The coat hanger thus conceived is susceptible to numerous modifications and variations, all of which fall within the scope of the attached claims. Furthermore, all details may be replaced by other technically equivalent elements. In practice, the materials used, as well as the contingent dimensions and shapes, may be any depending on the needs and the state B177824 of the technique.
