Claims
1. CLAIMS 1. A container for use in filling a ί -μ - 14 ί L syringe with sterile irrigation solution without contact of the solution with the barrel of the syringe, said container comprising a bottle for containing the solution, a barrier tube, which is removably mounted in the bottle and extends down the bottle through its neck, the barrier tube having an open lower end and a removable closure member at its upper end and forming a seal with the neck of the bottle so that, upon insertion of the barrier tube into the bottle, the solution in the bottle assumes a lower level adjacent to the neck of the bottle.7 at the bottom of the barrier tube in the lower region of the barrier tube and a higher level in the outer region of the barrier tube, and constituting a barrier that prevents contact between the solution and the barrel of a syringe inserted, after removal of the closure element, into the barrier tube to position its tip in the solution below the barrier tube.
