AI Technical Summary
Existing circular knitting machines struggle to reliably lift knitted products from their needles due to interference between the lifting tube and sinkers, preventing complete and safe removal of the product.
A lifting device with a rotating cup having a flared lip and radial slits is integrated into the machine, allowing the knitted product to rest on the cup during construction and be lifted safely, even near the needles, while accommodating sinker movements without interference.
Ensures reliable and safe lifting of knitted products, including parts closest to the needles, facilitating secure collection and manipulation.
Description
DESCRIPTION of the PATENT FOR INDUSTRIAL INVENTION entitled: “LIFTING DEVICE OF THE KNITTED ARTIFACT BUILT ON A CIRCULAR MACHINE” in the name of SANGIACOMO SpA, with headquarters in Brescia. Via ----------— .Ww Bormioli 60 / 62, of Italian nationality, electively*^ O / B domiciled for all legal purposes at the MANZONI & MANZONI firm, in Brescia, P.le Arnaldo, 2. BELOW. 2000 «-BS2000A000059 ^3%' V rA =} \ ->» \ co | Sa&t, * * * * * Field of invention The present invention concerns circular knitting and hosiery machines and refers in particular to a device for lifting a knitted product after it has been manufactured, when it needs to be picked up from the needles and transferred for handling outside the machine, for example to be able to carry out the toe closing operation in the case of hosiery. State of the art picking and transferring out of machine for subsequent Certain circular knitting and hosiery machines, intended for the construction of knitted articles I » MANZONI & MANZONI srl International Patent Office BRESCIA - Piazzale Arnaldo, 2 Tel. 030 / 48313 3756265 complementary processes, are equipped, inside the cylinder, with a tube with a flared top to receive the product while it is being constructed by the needles. The tube can be moved vertically within the cylinder to lift the finished product as needed, so that it can be picked up near the needles, removed, and removed from above the cylinder with an appropriate, but known, handling device. The flared part of the lifting tube extends partially above the internal guide ring of the sinkers but cannot reach near the needles so as not to interfere with the sinkers during their radial movements. In other words, the flared part of the tube always remains distant from the needles, and the part of the knitted product closest to the needles does not rest on the flared part of the tube.In this condition, when the tube is raised it is not able to completely and reliably lift the artifact so that it can be correctly and safely picked up by the collection device. Purposes and disclosure of the invention The purpose of this invention is therefore to provide a circular knitting and hosiery machine in which the lifting operation of the knitted product always occurs correctly and safely. THE MANZONI & MANZONI sr< International Patent Office BRESCIA - Piazzale Arnaldo, 2 Tel. 030 / 48313 · 3756265 Another aim of the invention is to propose a circular machine in which the knitted product is lifted from the knitting plane even in its parts closest to the needles for its reliable collection. These purposes are achieved in a circular machine with a lifting device for the knitted product which comprises a lifting tube placed in the cylinder, rotating with it, movable in height and equipped with a top cup having a flared lip which extends above the internal crown of the sinkers, up to the circumference of the needles and which is provided with radial slits in correspondence with the sinkers. This system allows the knitted product to rest on the cup's flare while being constructed and to be lifted at the end of the process, even at the point closest to the needles. On the other hand, the radial slits in the cup's flared lip allow for the correct movement of the sinkers, avoiding interference with them. Brief description of the drawings Further details of the invention will become more evident from the following description made with reference to the attached drawings, which are indicative and not limiting, in which: MANZONI & MANZONI srl International Patent Office BRESCIA - Piazzale Arnaldo, 2 Tel. 030 / 48313-3756265 Fig. 1 shows, in cross-section, the top portion of a cylinder of a circular knitting machine according to the invention; and Fig. 2 shows, seen from above, the stitch lifting device. Detailed description of the invention In the said drawings, a circular knitting and hosiery machine of the type under consideration shows a cylinder 10 with needles 11 and sinkers 12 positioned radially around the top of the cylinder, supported by an external crown 13 and an internal guide crown 14 for their radial-horizontal movements. According to the invention, a tube 15 is arranged coaxially in the cylinder 11, which can be moved in height between a lowered position and a raised position, and which ends at the top with a cup 16. The cup 16, and with it the tube 15, rotates together with the internal crown 14 of the plates to which it is connected by at least one rotational driving pin 17. This pin 17 also engages in a corresponding vertical slot 18 which allows the cup 16 to move in height when the tube 15 is raised and lowered by means of an appropriate control device which is not worthy of particular attention here. THE THE MANZONI & MANZONI srl International Patent Office BRESCIA - Piazzale Arnaldo, 2 Tel. 030 / 48313 - 3756265 The cup 16 has a flared upper lip 19 that extends above the internal crown 14 of the sinkers up to the vicinity of the needles 11 on the cylinder. The flared lip has radial slits on the periphery. 0 in correspondence with the plates - Fig.2 - so as to allow radial movements of these without interference. The tube 15 with the rotating movable cup 16 can be placed outside of a height and internal tube having a top flare 22 that aligns with the flared lip 19 of the cup when the latter is in the lowered position. The internal tube 21 can be rotating or non-rotating, fixed in height and intended to receive the knitted product as it is constructed. In practice, the stitch, as it is being constructed, rests on the flared lip 19 of the cup 16 and passes into the internal tube 21 without impediments. Once the product is completed, the external tube 15 is lifted, resulting in an upward movement of the cup, which also lifts the product in the stitched parts closest to the needles, allowing it to be safely grasped for removal and subsequent manipulation.
