Description
- Date 22 091 / 7 5____ DESCRIPTION .-- ---in support of .a patent application for .an invention. - — __titled.lp.:. Device for installing, delie- __the __glass strip in the windows -of the side doors- — of motor vehicles “ . . u -------- in the name of:_ MERCEDES-BENZ AKTIENGESELLSCHAFT .. .. _____ The invention relates to a guide for glass panes of windows for a motor vehicle, with at least one U-shaped guide bracket, seen from above, fixed at a lateral edge of the glass pane in the door cavity on a sheet metal thereof, and positionable so as to enclose the associated lateral edge of the glass pane. Such a guide for glass panes on windows is to be considered already known to 1 the DE-OS 25 37 536. The present invention aims to further develop such a window glass guide so as to allow an alignment delicate chin of a frameless side door glass around a longitudinal axis of the vehicle. This task is solved, according to the invention, by the fact that the guide bracket is connected in a non-rotatable manner to a screw driven in a rotatably manner along the door sheet metal. This screw has, at its free end, a polyhedron and onto which a safety lock nut can be screwed. The object of the invention is illustrated in more detail below with reference to an exemplary embodiment shown in the drawings. In them: Figure 1 shows a top view of a setting device, and Figures Za and 2d show sections along lines II - II of Figure 1. As can be seen in Figure 1, the frameless glass pane 1 of a side door, not shown in more detail, of a motor vehicle is gripped at its lateral edge by a guide bracket 2 that is rotatably fixed to a door plate 3. The rotatable and fixable arrangement of the guide bracket 2 occurs by the fact that the guide bracket is connected in a non-rotatable manner to a screw 4, at the free end of which a polyhedron 5 is provided for the attachment of a tool. A safety locknut 6 can be screwed onto the screw 4 to fix the set position of the glass. THE - 4 Λ.___________ .
