LUBRICATED SEALING RINGS

Abstract

The invention concerns a mechanism for a pneumatic seal between two sliding surfaces, which are even discontinuous or with openings. The mechanism comprises two segments made of rigid material, inserted in a groove machined in one of the two surfaces, inclined towards each other, anchored to a spring and in contact with the other surface. The seals, spring and contact areas are lubricated by means of the supply of a lubricant under pressure to the space between the lower part of the seals and the frame. The lubricant filters between the frame and the first seal towards the sliding surface and is collected by the second seal for recirculation. In accordance with openings in the surface, the seals, thrust by the spring, prevent lubricant loss. The mechanism maintains its functionality even as a result of wear to the seals and even when changing the direction of movement or between surfaces in alternating movement.
