Abstract
This article is a board reinforcing member for reinforcing boards such as gypsum boards from the back side, and consists of elongated plate-shaped first to third component pieces and a flexible flat cord-like operating band (for example, made from recycled seat belt material) that connects them. The first to third component pieces are connected by passing a U-shaped operating band through two square holes formed in the center of each piece, and are slidable on the operating band as shown in Reference Figure 1. When each component piece is separated and brought together at the folded portion of the operating band, the grooves provided in the center of each piece interlock, allowing them to be connected radially as shown in the perspective view. Therefore, as shown in Reference Figure 1, the first to third component pieces are separated on the operating band, and in that state, as shown in Reference Figure 2, they are passed through pre-drilled through holes in the board in order from the first component piece, dropping all the component pieces to the back side of the board. Then, by pulling the operating band from the front side of the through holes and pulling all the component pieces to the back side of the board, the grooves naturally interlock, and they are assembled radially as shown in Reference Figure 3. In this state, the board can be securely fixed by passing a screw through, for example, the first component from the front side. Therefore, it can be used as an anchor for screws when earthquake-resistant fixing furniture and home appliances to gypsum board, or as a backing reinforcement member when sealing holes in wall panels, etc., provided for piping. The first to third components are made of a composite material of reinforced plastic and leaf springs, and the grooved parts can be appropriately flexible. The operating band can be used to connect the first to third components to furniture, etc., but if it is not needed, it can be removed by pulling it out from the corner holes of the first to third components.
