Test fish holding equipment

Abstract

The article relating to the present design is primarily a test fish holding device for holding small test fish such as zebrafish used in tests and experiments. As shown in the "Reduced Perspective View in Separated State" and "Reference Figure 1 Showing the State of Use," it consists of a test fish holder made of a flexible material such as sponge with a holding groove formed therein for holding the test fish, a pair of sealing devices made of a flexible material such as sponge positioned before and after the test fish holder to seal the front and rear openings of the holding groove, and a holder base on which the test fish holder and the pair of sealing devices positioned before and after it are installed. At least the test fish holder is configured to be detachable from the holder base. When a test fish is held in the holding groove of the test fish holder while it is attached to the holder base, the test fish holder can be removed from the holder base and the test substance can be administered to the test fish held in the holding groove using a syringe. Furthermore, as shown in "Reference Figure 1 showing the state of use" and "Reference Figure 2 showing the state of use," the upper part of the groove for holding the test fish in the test fish holder is provided with a discharge chute fitting section into which the discharge chute of the guide device is fitted while being pushed open. In this guide device, the test fish are put into the funnel section together with water, the put in test fish pass through the inclined guide pipe with the water, the test fish that have passed through the inclined guide pipe pass through the discharge chute that extends downwards together with the water, the test fish that have passed through the discharge chute are discharged together with water from the lower end opening of the discharge chute into the holding groove of the test fish holder, and the discharged test fish are held in the holding groove, for example.
