Abstract
The present article is an expanded synthetic resin particle used as a filling material for cushioning materials, etc., and is also used for manufacturing containers, building materials, buffer materials, etc. by in-mold foaming. The expanded synthetic resin particle has a thin through hole near the center for the purpose of improving cushioning properties and breathability as a filling material, or for the purpose of maintaining and improving fusion properties during in-mold foaming, strength of molded products, and appearance. The expanded synthetic resin particle means a particle made of a synthetic resin in an expanded state. The expanded synthetic resin particle according to the present article has a diameter (length marked with "D" in the "reference plan view") of 3 to 4.5 mm, and a diameter of the hole part of the through hole (length marked with "d" in the "reference plan view") of 0.2 to 0.6 mm. The ratio d / D of the diameter d of the hole part of the through hole to the diameter D is 0.08 to 0.2. The length (length marked with "L" in the "reference front view") is 3 to 4.5 mm.
