Abstract

This article relates to an ascending / descending step for securing a foothold for workers ascending and descending during the assembly stage of architectural steel frames at building construction sites, work sites, etc. This article is composed of a step portion that is substantially annular and has a flat portion that serves as a foothold when actually used by workers, and a substantially U-shaped hanging device portion that is integrated with the step portion and is formed so as to be insertable into a support member fixed to the architectural steel frame or the like. As shown in the "reference perspective view showing the use state", the article can be temporarily fixed to the architectural steel frame or the like by inserting the hanging device portion of this article into a support member fixed to the architectural steel frame or the like. This article has a screw hole on the inner part of the hanging device portion. After the temporary fixing, this article can be fixed to the architectural steel frame or the like by inserting a screw or bolt into the screw hole on the inner part of the hanging device and tightening it. These operations are performed in two simple steps, namely, an operation of inserting the hanging device portion into the support member and an operation of inserting a screw or bolt into the screw hole on the inner part of the hanging device and tightening it, so that this article can be easily fixed. In particular, by using hand-tightened screws and bolts, the article can be fixed by hand without tools. Furthermore, after use, the article can be easily removed from a steel frame for construction by loosening the screws or bolts and lifting the article from the support member. This reduces the burden on workers during the assembly and dismantling of steel frames for construction.
