Abstract
This product is a dental peeler. This product has a head at the end of a shaft, and is mainly used in the operation of peeling the gums from the jawbone in implant surgery and the like. Specifically, when peeling the outer (labial or cheek) part of the gums from the jawbone, an incision is made in the gums with a scalpel, and the head of this product is inserted into the incision. Then, with the outer edge of the head abutting the jawbone as a blade, the head is moved in a pulling motion toward the practitioner, peeling the gums away from the jawbone. In this product, the shaft and head are bent at a predetermined angle, so that the gums can be peeled off smoothly by the pulling motion. In addition, because the shaft is bent, it is possible to reduce the strong pressure or pulling caused by the shaft touching the patient's lips or cheeks during the peeling operation.
