Abstract

The article according to the present design (hereinafter referred to as "the article") is a pen tray capable of storing pens and the like in a horizontal position. The article comprises a bottom plate having a substantially rectangular shape in a plan view, a rear wall rising from the short rear edge of the bottom plate, and left and right side walls rising from the long left and right sides of the bottom plate to the same height as the rear wall and connecting to the left and right ends of the rear wall, and is open upward and forward. The left and right side walls of the article each have a rounded chamfer at the upper corners on the front side. The article also comprises a mounting stand attached so as to cover the entire upper surface of the bottom plate. The stand of this article extends from the front edge of the bottom plate to the rear end along the bottom plate, drawing a gentle curved surface, and the bottom plate has a height difference between the front and rear, allowing writing implements such as pens to be stored smoothly by taking advantage of the height difference, and also concealing the multiple openings in the bottom plate. Furthermore, the stand of this article has holding plates at both ends, which extend in the front-rear direction along the left and right side walls, and is held by the protrusions that protrude outward from the front and rear positions of the left and right holding plates being inserted into the insertion holes in the left and right side walls. The left and right side walls of this article have recesses that are slightly recessed inward, leaving the edges around the entire perimeter, and these recesses are slightly inclined so that they are positioned slightly inward as they approach the lower ends. In addition, the four corners of the bottom plate of this article are provided with approximately rectangular frame-shaped foot pieces that slightly raise the bottom plate from the ground surface.
