Abstract
The article is a machining center equipped with an LED display mechanism that displays the operating status of a machine tool with different light colors. The light-emitting part of the LED display mechanism is the part for which design registration is sought, and is provided in an L-shape along the horizontal direction at the left corner of the front area of the exterior cover that surrounds the machine tool. The light-emitting part includes a slit hole, which is drilled in the exterior cover in a continuous, long shape across two mutually orthogonal sides at the corner, as shown by a solid line, and an LED tape fixing plate attached so as to cover the slit hole over its entire length from the inside of the cover, and an RGB-LED tape light is held on the LED tape fixing plate. In the light-emitting part, the lower end surface of the opening upper edge of the slit hole forms a first reflecting surface that reflects the LED light downward, and the inclined surface of the LED tape fixing plate forms a second reflecting surface that reflects and diffuses the LED light downward and forward. This light-emitting section is installed so that it is embedded inward from the surface of the exterior cover, making it less susceptible to obstruction from external influences. At the same time, the two types of reflected light from the first and second reflective surfaces make the LED light color easier to see from a wider area around the outer periphery of the exterior cover, making it easier to grasp the operating status of the machine tool.
