Abstract

The article is a dental abutment used to secure an implant and a crown during a dental implant procedure. First, the lower part of the dental abutment is fixed to the implant (which is fixed to the patient's gums). Next, a screw is placed in a screw hole on the side of the dental abutment. At this time, a part of the screw head of the screw protrudes outward from the outer surface of the dental abutment. Finally, a crown is attached to cover the dental abutment. At this time, a part of the outer surface of the dental abutment and the protruding screw head contact the inner surface of the crown. The screw head then applies force to the inner surface of the crown, engaging the crown with the dental abutment. The article makes it easier to remove the crown and prevents damage to the crown during the removal process.
