Shade Guide

Abstract

This product is a shade guide (color sample) used to obtain information such as the color, brightness, and saturation of a patient's unbroken teeth in order to determine the color tone of the material to be used for the patient's teeth. This product is composed of six stick-attached color samples, each of which has a stick and an artificial tooth, an auxiliary tool simulating gums, and a retainer. The auxiliary tool is formed with six recesses that contact the cervical part of the artificial tooth of the stick-attached color sample, six through holes through which the sticks of the stick-attached color sample penetrate, and six windows for visually checking the color information displayed on the sticks of the stick-attached color sample. The retainer has an insertion port into which the sticks of the stick-attached color sample are inserted. The auxiliary tool can hold six stick-attached color samples with the artificial teeth in contact with the recesses and the sticks penetrating the through holes. The retainer can hold the auxiliary tool and the color sample display tool in contact with the retainer by inserting the end of the stick of the stick-attached color sample with the artificial teeth in contact with the recesses and the sticks penetrating the through holes into the insertion port. The six color sample display tools can be held in different positions on the auxiliary tool. The user of this product can bring the six stick color sample artificial teeth close to the patient's teeth to be evaluated, select the artificial tooth with the color that they feel is closest to the patient's teeth, and determine the color tone of the material to be used for the patient's teeth.
