Tire puncture hole plugging material

Abstract

This article is a puncture hole blocking member that is inserted from the outside of a tire when the tire is punctured to block the puncture hole. This article is made of an elastic member such as elastic rubber, and is formed of a round bar-shaped shaft portion and an umbrella-shaped adhesive portion provided at one end (tip) of the shaft portion. The method of using this article is to first apply an adhesive such as a sealant to the umbrella-shaped adhesive portion. Then, the protruding portion at the tip of the adhesive portion of this article is pushed into the puncture hole with a repair tool or the like, and the umbrella-shaped adhesive portion is positioned inside the tire. After that, the shaft portion of this article is pulled with a repair tool or the like, and the umbrella-shaped adhesive portion is adhered to the inner surface of the tire. Then, the unnecessary portion of the shaft portion of this article that protrudes outside the tire is removed by tearing it off or the like.
