Abstract

(1) In general, in an automobile, the hub (or the axle in the case of a driving wheel) is connected to the vehicle body by a suspension so that it can rise and fall with respect to a neutral height position. Thus, the vehicle body can rise and fall with respect to the hub (axle) with respect to a neutral height position. The wheels are attached to the hub, and the tires are attached to the wheels. (2) Then, in order to determine the lowest position and highest position of the vehicle body with respect to the hub (and thus the tire) and to prevent the vehicle body from falling or rising beyond the lowering / rising limit, for example, the following is done. In order to prevent the vehicle body from falling beyond the lowering limit, a stopper (vehicle body lowering position determination stopper) is provided on the side of the vehicle body. On the other hand, the vehicle body is prevented from rising beyond the upper limit by the extension limit of the shock absorber (which constitutes part of the suspension). (3) This article is fixed to the vehicle body (a member on the vehicle body side) in an upside-down state, and when the vehicle body is lowered significantly relative to the hub (axle), this article abuts against the axle tube (a tube through which the axle is inserted), preventing the vehicle body from lowering any further. In this way, the position (height) at which the vehicle body can be lowered the most is determined. (4) This article is particularly suitable for use when the vehicle body height (neutral height position) is adjusted to be lower than it should be.
