Abstract

As shown in Reference Figure 1, which shows the state of use, this product is a resin cap material that is fitted to the upper end of a post on which a beam material for a guard fence erected on a road is erected. As shown in Reference Figure 2, which shows the state of use, this product has two notches formed in the side plate portion and is elastically deformable in the radial direction, and when inserted into the post, it elastically deforms inward in the radial direction and is fitted to the post by an elastic restoring force in the radial outward direction, so that the upper end of the post can be protected without welding or attaching a joining member. In addition, since it is fitted to the post by the elastic restoring force, even if the post deforms due to the environmental temperature, it is unlikely to come off from the post because it elastically deforms in response to the deformation. As shown in reference figure 3, which shows the product in use, the outer edge rib protruding from the blocking plate portion abuts against the upper end of the support pillar, and the outer peripheral rib protruding from the side plate portion abuts against the inner surface of the support pillar. This creates gaps that act as ventilation holes between the blocking plate portion and the upper end of the support pillar, and between the side plate portion and the inner surface of the support pillar, thereby improving the heat dissipation ability of the support pillar and suppressing deformation of the product.
